Don't Stand . . . . Don't Stand So Close to Me!

This piece explores “spread”. The spread of disease . . .of disinformation . . .of fear. Of toxins in our enfironment and our psyches. The masks reflect the idea of proximity to a malignant source. The belts represent how we are bound to others . . .in good ways and bad. The supporting branch was invaded by some living creature, but it was left beautifully carved. Such is the nature of influence.
