KORE Gallery has two show rooms for exhibitions each month.

The Opening Reception For Both Exhibitions will be on Saturday, April 6th from 6pm-8:30pm

“From Nowhere To Somewhere To Somewhere Else” solo show featuring Artist, Joshua Jenkins

April 6th thru April 30th.

Artist Statement:
“In my latest artistic exploration, I attempted to explore themes of masculinity. This immersive experience led me to create an array of characters from my imagination, each contributing to the curious narratives woven within each painting.

To bring these narratives to life, I employed my evolving and expressive painting style, utilizing a diverse range of mixed media, including house paint and spray paint. Drawing inspiration from urban graffiti, I fused bold graphic elements with vibrant hues reminiscent of a lush Caribbean oasis, resulting in what I consider to be my most vibrant and visually striking body of work to date.

By purposefully juxtaposing these diverse inspirations, I aimed to infuse the exhibition with a captivating allure that seamlessly blends the charm of the southern aesthetic with a raw energy of northern grit.”

“The Spirit Of Victory”
Group Show featuring Artists,
Richard Sullivan & Tyler Robertson

April 6th thru April 30th.

Sullivan's Artist Statement:

"My artwork has been a direct reflection of my past as an athlete. Each time I paint, I am channeling the same energy I used to perform on the baseball field. Painting is a heightened experience similar to playing a sport. In both activities I have to allow myself to let go of fear, get into the flow and trust my intuition and instincts to guide me through.

My goal is to convey the intense focus and concentration of athletes at the highest level of competition. I draw from my past experience as a professional pitcher to harness the emotion of each moment I portray. I love exploring the similarities of two seemingly opposite endeavors and showing the world that we are all connected, in everything we do.

Richard Sullivan is an artist and former professional baseball player with the Atlanta Braves. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, he studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he received a BFA in Illustration. He had the opportunity to play baseball at SCAD and to continue his interest in art and illustration. In 2008, Richard was drafted by the Braves in the 11th round as a junior and played 6 years of minor league baseball. He returned to SCAD in 2014 to finish his degree and focus exclusively on his artwork."

Robertson’s Artist Statement:
”The works in this show explode onto the canvas in a symphony of color. This series transcends the realism of the race track, transforming jockeys and horses into vibrant expressions of pure, unbridled spirit. The use of a pallet knife and bold hues capture the exhilaration of the race, the silent communication between rider and mount, and the shared dream of achieving greatness. This series is an ode to the unwavering pursuit of victory, a dance between power and grace that leaves a lasting impression.”
