Each year in September, we host a special exhibit with a black and white theme. Artists are able to submit two pieces of art in any medium for only one entry fee: one piece black, and one piece white. The prospectus and application for entering your work for the 2024 show will be posted here early next Spring.

The artists reception is a black tie/formal event with hors d'oeuvres and drinks that’s free to the public and requires no formal invitation. The artists reception for 2024 will be on September 7th from 6-8:30. We’d love to see you!

The Winners from the 2023 Show are: Best in Show, ($600) Joshua Jenkins for “The Ceramicist (The Creator)” - 1st Place, ($275) Chuck Swanson “River Bend”, Second Place ($200) Balbina Meyer for Rising, Third Place ($150) to Mike McCarthy for “Summer Rose”. Also, two Judge’s Honorable Mentions ($50 each) went to Caroline Wait and Elizabeth Haigh.

For 2023, the Annual Black and White Show changed somewhat. Some of the changes were done in order to impove on the quality of the art being presented and to better accommodate space and the show. For 2024 we will again concentrate more on quality rather than quantity. As in 2023, the 2024 show will be heavily juried and only the best work will be accepted. We need to do this to ensure we are presenting “gallery ready” work and to accommodate our buyers in showing only quality work. There will be more to come once the prospectus is released; I think we may change to a “monochromatic” show allowing more color and excitement. Here are a few photos from the show (also more on Facebook) with attendance of over 500 people!
