The passion of my art is to interpret nature both serene and in motion, invoking study and conversation. My diverse style involves the creative layering of textures and colors, resulting in art that can be beautiful, whimsical, urban or edgy. I use acrylics, inks, and metallics within various mediums to create unique semi abstract, abstract and impressionistic pieces. It is my pleasure to create a unique, versatile piece of art for you, your family, and friends.
I am a Franklin, IN, native. My art is inspired by nature’s beauty. I hold a great love for the outdoors, flower gardening and landscaping. These influences are seen in my unique, individualistic art style as portrayed through my abstract and impressionistic pieces.
I am a graduate from Indiana State University with a degree in Clothing, Textiles, and Marketing. I am a sister in Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Beta Pi Chapter, and was an active Union Board member. I worked in retail sales and management for many years with the English design company, Laura Ashley and the well-known nature company Wild Birds Unlimited. I have worked and lived in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. In 1995, my entrepreneurial spirit shifted my career to real estate investing, homebuilding and remodeling. I currently live in Bargersville, Indiana, and have been successfully self-employed for over 23 years, providing clients, designers and builders with upscale, artistic wall finishes, and custom art works for numerous show homes, commercial establishments and beautiful residences. These professional experiences, my free spirit, and my creative edge soon drove me into contemporary fine art forms, firmly planted on the painted canvas. I am a member of Southside Art League, Greenwood Arts Council (Indiana) and the Louisville Artisans Guild (Kentucky).
My first art entry was selected as the Artist Series Wine Label for Mallow Run Winery, located in Bargersville, IN. My art can be seen on the label for this limited artisan vintage. My latest honor was placing 1st at Art for all Ages competition, a regional event sponsored by the Greenwood Arts Council, Greenwood, IN.
